Who We Are

Supporting recovery through connection and community.

“ECHO Detroit” was born out of the multiple and complex needs of the recovering community throughout the Detroit-Wayne County area. Many individuals and their families who are struggling with substance use disorders are searching for “more.”

ECHO Detroit endeavors to provide that “more” through a peer-based service delivery system and a mission rooted in recovery, dignity, and compassionate support.

Our Mission

Recovery is built through Connectedness, Hope, Identity, Meaning, and Empowerment.

ECHO Detroit believes recovery is a process. As a Recovery Community Organization, we support people in achieving sustainable recovery by providing resources personalized to individual aspirations, goals, and stage of recovery.

We focus on helping individuals build recovery capital while educating the community and reducing stigma so that those with substance use disorders have every opportunity to achieve wellness.

Our Programs

Two pathways. One mission of hope and recovery.

Engagement Center

The Engagement Center offers a safe, supportive environment where individuals can be stabilized, monitored, and connected to the appropriate level of care.

Whether someone is experiencing acute intoxication, emotional distress, or uncertainty about next steps, the Engagement Center provides compassionate, judgment-free support.
